CRISTINA GAITAN
San Francisco, CA, USA
Cristina Gaitan has a Bachelors of Science in Architecture from the University of Virginia, and is a recent graduate of the California College of the Arts MFA Design program, with a focus in interaction design. She believes that design should be continuously reimagined and reterritorialized by the people that inhabit and participate in it. Working in a wide variety of two and three dimensional mediums - photography, printmaking, fabrication and digital media - she creates work that asks questions of social structures and paradigms, particularly in terms of thinking about systems and the legibility of scales. Currently, she is compelled to investigate forms of new media with the intention of discovering profound potential for (re)connection between humans and the environment.
