Surplus fabric rescued from textile factory.

From the late 1800's up until recently, Baltimore supported a productive textile industry. The cities proximity to the harbor made it easy to receive raw materials; southern cotton. For power, the factories relied on the Patapsco River.

Many of the textile factories were converted flour mills. Once converted to textile production, the main product was cloth sails for clipper ships and canvas cloth for tents.
