Research

This is a short four week project so I have kept my research very limited.  Most of it consisted of searching the web for anything written about lists, social or technical, and looking at what was available.  I posted some questions to lists that I am subscribed to asking about what people liked about lists and where they saw them heading, but this was in no way a proper study of end users.  I have broken up my research into two sections:

Social aspects of email lists
I look at what a list is, and describe the general forms they take.  I begin to explore some of the possible aspect of social dynamics on lists and ways that we might explore this. I also have a list of articles and resources on the subject of email lists from a social perspective on the web.

Email list software
A look at available list software, and a brief discussion of what they offer.
