The Garden for the Environment (GFE) Artist in Residency Program (AIR)
Amy Franceschini is the first artist in residence and will work for a period of 10 months to create a Victory Garden in
the Urban Backyard (UB) plot.

Garden for the Environment maintains a nationally acclaimed one-acre urban demonstration garden and offers environmental education programs about organic gardening, urban compost systems and sustainable food systems.

Currently under reconstruction with similar aims, but will be more geared towards education, sustainable design
and the production of food.

Grey Water System:
This will simulate a typical kitchen sink in a San Francisco apartment building.

Raised beds for food production
